Happy holidays everyone. We had another full year with much to share.
Belle was in her first Ballet recital in March. Soon after we made Dayla’s wish come true and met Abby Cadabby and Elmo at the Sesame Street concert.
In April we met our new niece Irelyn Elizabeth Bell. She’s such a sweetie pie!!
In May we traveled to Wisconsin to witness Eric’s Cousin Hans Hinke, and his new bride, Shana exchange their wedding vows. We then came back for Eric’s Cousin, Emily Forman’s wedding later in May. The girls had been looking forward to dancing all night on the dance floor. Congratulations Emily and Andy!
Eric Played at the Dark Horse in Boulder several times this year with his band, Taken. They are now looking for a new guitar player; we wish Jeff the best of luck with his new path in life.
Tammi had a great girl’s weekend with Christie Nielsen in Santa Fe and looks forward to more girls’ trips in the future.
Belle finished another season of gymnastics at the Boulder Recreation center this summer before starting school; she’s almost mastered the cartwheel.
Eric and Tammi did the Bolder Boulder yet again and met up with Tammi’s cousin Lisa, who was running as well. Tammi even got her picture in the Denver Post!
We camped a few times and did some local hiking and fishing this summer. Introducing the girls to the wonderful world of hooks and lines was very interesting.
This summer Belle also had several summer camps including a sports camp, science camp and oceanography camp. She had a blast. We’ve been meeting with Tammi’s old friends Leslie Rojas and Kelley Leland for a regular get together. It’s been fun watching the kids all get to know each other.
Dayla had a fun 3 year old birthday party in the park with many of her school friends. It was great to see her making her own friends. Dayla also started Pre-school this August and loves her teachers and playing with her pals! Belle started Kindergarten and Blue Mountain Elementary this August. She is a great learner and student. She’s making lots of little buddies and learning math, reading and writing very fast.
Belle and Dayla were invited to be flower girls at Eric’s cousin Seth Forman’s lovely wedding ceremony in Denver to his bride Julie. The girls yet again cut a rug. Congratulations you two!
As a bonus to the wedding we had Eric’s parents stay with us. We had a few fun days with them, hiking and enjoying company, and then Eric and Tammi went to Vancouver, BC to enjoy relaxation while they celebrated their tenth anniversary. Duane and Diane stayed with Belle and Dayla the first half and Chris and Anjanet Mort took over duties the second half. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
We had more fun in September, doing Karaoke and dancing at the Cholas’ Lamb-b-q. Both grandmothers, Diane and Elaine were there.
Belle and Dayla had a Ballet class together from September through November. Thanks to Dayla turning 3 she can finally do classes on her own! YEA!
Belle celebrated her 5 year old birthday with PJ, friends and tents. We had a great time at the Great American Beer fest while Elaine and Shannon took care of the kids.
Belle cut her hair for Locks of Love, later so did Tammi. Tammi has also been playing volleyball this fall. Only one player came out limping (sorry Anjanet).
Belle had her first school presentation and first field trip in October. We had a great fall in Colorado this year and it lasted more then a week this time. Belle and Dayla dressed as Dora the explorer and Boots. We also celebrated birthdays on Halloween with Oliver and Evan.
Belle had her first fund raiser for school and raised money while running the turkey trot. She ran over 12 laps.
We traveled for the East Coast for Thanksgiving this year stopping in Reston first to visit Duane, and then we got to see the new house in Charlottesville, VA and to visit Diane. We then headed to Maryland to see Brain, Kristin, Ben and Bailey in there home to have the actual turkey day. Thanks for hosting us. It was a great time! The kids had a blast with Ben and Bailey. The boys were very sweet to them.
We’ll be visiting Tammi’s parents, Al and Elaine, for Christmas in Georgia this year with hopes of Great Grandparents, Calvin and Mable Stomprud visiting.
We are finishing this year with health and happiness. We’re so thankful that we have such caring friends and family and that our lives have been so blessed. God Bless and have a happy new year.
Merry Christmas and God Bless.
Love, Tammi, Eric, Belle and Dayla
